TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD
|

“teaching meditation to the ones in 2008 was a very positive experience. They have an amazing
awareness of their spirituality and where always keen to set up the sacred space. The children
were organised into small groups. Each team chose the items for their sacred space. One team
had the Aussie flag and another had sporty stuff and another fairies. They each made their own
sign for the door. Each group took a photo of their own sacred space – reflecting on how it
helped their meditation and how it might be improved. The meditation time went from 6 to 10
minutes and they always wanted more. Now they are 2’s the children are still asking me for a
time of meditation!
Parents were also very positive. Some children set up their own sacred spaces at home and had
their families meditating!”
“Here are some of the children’s very positive comment about their experience:
‘God is really in our room.’
‘It’s nice to have no thinking!’
‘Now I know what we are talking about when you talk about being a Christian and us being in a
Christian School. It’s not just the stories that you tell us, it’s feeling God working inside you’
‘God is really in our room.’
‘I can feel my heart growing with love.’
‘I love it when we are still – I don’t even think about breathing.’
‘ My skin is getting to feel God’s loving.’’’
