My Happy Heart, Prayer of the Heart. This book on Christian meditation for children was written by Gregory Ryan. In the book’s afterword by Laurence Freeman, he states, "There is nothing more important to teach children than how to find and enter and stay in tune with their own heart. To live with a spiritual vision. To sense the sacredness of life, to see God in and behind everyday appearances". Also included is the CD My Happy Heart Sings, a wonderful little melody children will love to hear over and over. Teachers and Directors of Religious Education programs will also want to use the introductory narrative track with their young students. It's a ready-made lesson!
(Greg's book and cd is for the very young child being taught on the whole by parents and grandparents). Please click here to read an extract of his book.
